After some recent (incredible) travels I’ve been feeling inspired to book some more international trips. The following are some of the many destinations on my dream travel list—and pretty specific ones at that.
Amangiri in Canyon Point, Utah
Amangiri looks otherworldly. Serene, beautiful, warm. The luxury resort is nestled into red-rock country on the Colorado Plateau. I’m a real sucker for the desert, and this carefully location is desert seclusion at its finest.
In addition to all the spa luxury you might expect, Amangiri also has 12 miles of its own hiking trails. It’s close to the Navajo Nation Slot Canyons AND Lake Powell—the latter of which is at the top of my natural destinations to visit.
I look forward to staying at Amangiri someday and shooting an obsessive amount of Kodak Gold film.

Area 55 Futuro House, Joshua Tree
There are 85 Futuro Houses in the world, 19 of which are in the United States. They were originally conceived of in 1968 by Finnish architect Matti Suuronen, and were intended to be used as a “portable” ski chalet. It was taken off the market by 1970, because as Wikipedia puts it, it was met with “public hostility.”
Too avant-garde for the era, super fun for us now!
The Futuro House in Joshua Tree, called Arwa 55, is the only one that’s available to rent out as an Airbnb. In 2022 it was recognized as a historic landmark.
I’ve had my eye on this destination for a very long time. Area55 is obviously shaped like a little flying saucer, and therefore, a pretty unique place to stay the night. It’s technically a glamping situation as its totally off the grid, running on solar and propane.
The Airbnb sleeps four people and has an outdoor fire pit fit for desert night hangs.

Masseria Moroseta in Ostuni, Puglia, Italy
Masseria Moroseta is a bed and breakfast located in Ostuni, Puglia, Italy. The destination’s design appears to magically blend minimalism with true warmth which is no small feat.
The building was created with recycled local sandstone and is eco-friendly with solar panels and little need for air-conditioning or heating. Outside the building is surrounded by olive groves and also has ocean views.
Guests are served meals at a communal table, made from local organic produce, fresh fish, and locally-raised meats. The boutique hotel features other community amenities like an outdoor kitchen, pool, etc, while still retaining that private home vibe.
This beauty comfortably sleeps 14 people…who’s up for a getaway?

Ducato Di Oia, Santorini
I’m pretty sure you could put me anywhere in Santorini, Greece and I’d be happy, but I’d be extra happy staying at the town’s Ducato Di Oia hotel.
The hotel’s location is set up on the hill with insane views of the Aegean Sea. It’s perched right above the Armeni harbor, which is known for not getting any wind at all. The boutique hotel features 11 cave-style hotel rooms, nine of which have their own private pools. (See below.)
Some of the rooms also include indoor jacuzzis. I’m a huge sucker for pools and anything that mixes together fun or relaxation with water, so this place looks like a dream to me. Swoon.
Casa Telmo — Spain
Hotel Casa Telmo in Menorca, Spain looks pretty interesting from imagery alone, but it gets even more interesting the more you hear about it. The five-bedroom hotel was created inside of a 19th-century townhouse, and it’s owned by 24-year-old interior designers. How could that not be cool?
Casa Telmo still retains a lot of the design details that the three-story home was born with, but it’s been outfitted with flea market finds from Spain, France, and all over Europe. Naturally, each room of the hotel is a bit different, and guests can meet over breakfast in the group dining area.
Menorca happens to be a Mediterranean island, which means warm weather and warm water. I think my mouth is watering just thinking about it and we’re not even talking about food. (I have heard that Menorca is heavy in cheese, gin, and lobster.)
